Cinnamon Chipotle Chili

I love eating out, but I also love to cook. My mother did her best to produce a male child who might actually fend for himself in the kitchen, and now I am our little family’s go-to food prep guy.

This is my all-time greatest success, and I hope that you try it and love it as much as I do. I am a huge fan of chili, because anything goes: if you want to put it in, you can probably make it work. And, if getting things on the table in the midst of a busy schedule is a thing for you, too…well, this stuff simmers for as long as you need it to, and the longer it simmers, the better it tastes.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs ground pork
1 medium to large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 15-oz can chili beans
1 11-oz can pork and beans
1 15-oz can diced tomatoes
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
2.5 tsp chipotle chili powder
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Dash steak sauce

Step One: Brown ground pork with onion and garlic, and drain excess fat.
Step Two: Mix in everything else. Bring to a boil, and simmer at least 30 minutes (but longer works too).
Step Three: Eat it! It’s as simple as that. :0)
